D’Journe Arthur – Change Agent for Global Transformation

A software developer and entrepreneur, I have expertise in cinematography, digital marketing, social media marketing, retail and technology-consultancy, bolstered by a Bishops High School education and countless university certifications, my journey also includes accolades such as being a UNDP Tobago Innovation Challenge finalist (one of eight from 103 global entries), the only Tobagonian in the Ministry of Digital Transformation’s Developer’s Hub Challenge and a finalist, the only Tobagonian chosen for the UKTP partnership program and a participant of Fintech Islands 2024 for Caribbean startups as part of the UKTP cohort. 

My first start-up, ThaVibes was born after many years of doing cinematography in the real estate advertising space, retail business marketing & also helping local film makers in production, I sensed the struggles of independent creators globally after seeing it locally stifled by many challenges. ThaVibes was born from this realization, igniting a fire that illuminated a new path, a new way for creators to be seen, heard and paid.

My second start-up, the Civil Engagement Platform, is pushing the boundaries of technology implementation further by bridging the gap between governments and citizens. I am working with Government stakeholders and introducing new technology to society that improves the ability of citizens to engage with governments and receive real solutions to their problems. 

Everyday, I wake up, innovation is on my mind and my fervent passion for it shall never die.
